The Master Cleanse Day 1

After talking to Jeff we decided to do a 10 day cleanse. Today is day 1.... and it has been hard. Its been hard not to cook food and its been really hard to watch TV. Everything you watch has food in it. I am not 100% sure how I am going to do this tomorrow at work but I am going to do it. Next Thursday is our last day then we will go back to real food.

If I lose 10lbs I will be happy but I will be even happier if this cleanse helps Jeff to not eat everything he sees. He doesn't like the lemonaid but I think it was because of the syrup in the lemonaide. So we took one table spoon out so that it wouldn't be so sweet and he seems to like that better.

Another hard thing for me is the bowl movements.... for me it is painful but I think I have been sick for awhile. Every time I eat it hurts and then I am in pain for the rest of the night. Well my movements feel something like that. I knew it would but I am hoping that after a few days it will go away. That maybe pushing some of the food that is clogging me up out of my body that I wont be in pain anymore. Jeff on the other hand assures me that his poops have been just wonderful :)

Making the most out of Utah

Okay its no surpise that Jeff and I really don't like living in Utah. The people here are kinda rude (and by kinda I mean really rude) but I am determined not to let that ruin our lives lol Part of my goal with that is taking advantage of the many temples in the valley while we are here. Tonight is our first date night to the temple and I am very excited :)

Jeff agreed to do the lemon cleanse with me! YAY! So we are starting on Sunday and going to see how it goes from there.

Love you all! We will let you know how it goes :)

DrEAm CaR!!!!

JEFF AND I WENT ON A DATE TO FIND MY DREAM CAR :)

It wasn't quite as exciting as it sounds but it was still pretty awesome. We went to a Hickley dealer ship to look at the hatch backs/ cross overs and see which make and model I liked best. We figured it would be a cheap date... turned out to be a great success.

My dream car.... (drum roll please) ..... A DoDge JoURnEy!!!! Loved it! great family car, drove like a dream, plenty of space, and it was burnt orange :) not that the color really makes a huge difference but it was pretty attractive. And the best part was the price.... for the low sum of $24,000 that little beauty could be ours! lol We will be accepting donations till we can afford the car so please feel free to add to our cause.

The Master Cleanse

So... It has come to my attention that our little family needs to change some of it's eating habits. I have noticed we spend a lot of money on foods that are terrible for us and don't fill us very well. Amazingly there is an addiction to bad foods... surprise surprise right? I figure the best way to kick a habit is cold turkey and then you have to flush the poison out of your body.

The answer to all of this mischief is to do a cleanse. With quite a bit of study and reading, not to mention the advice of an old friend I have decided that 'The Master Cleanse' might be the best solution. We wont be doing it for long, 2 weeks or 14 days. What ever sounds shortest for Jeff. He doesn't seem as excited about it as I am but he is really supportive.

If it works we might even get Jeff's dad to do it too. He is trying to eat healthier as well. Wish us the best of luck and we will let you know about the progress.

Sunday walks

There is a parkway that follows the river near our house so we thought we would take a Sunday afternoon walk and we found some ducks! Jeff wanted to take them home lol

3 week and a honeymoon later

Jeff and I are finally home from our trip to Vegas. We had a great week and got just enough sun to get a little pink around the edges but no sun burns :) We saw three shows while we were there; the Lion King, Chriss Angel, and a Cirque de Soleil show. The Lion King was a total let down, simba was going through puberty and couldn't hit is notes and the dancing had no energy at all. Chriss Angel was also really lame because he didn't do any magic tricks (surprise surprise) but the acrobats of Cirque de Soleil were amazing!!! They made up for all of the other shows.

Jeff somehow got me to go on a ride at the new york, new york. It wasn't terrible but not my fave :) With any luck we are going to get season passes to Lagoon to fill Jeff's need for rides. We also went to some of our favorite places to eat, mostly we were excited for Buffalo Wild Wings who happen to have the best Parmesan Garlic wings.  So good we even bought some of the sause so we could make it while we were in Utah. There isn't a BBW here..... :'(

Flowers & Wedding Presents

Who would have thought that finding a florist for one bouquet would be so hard? I spent a hour and a half driving around looking for a florist today and all I could find were green houses lol You would think I would have more success in a town this large!Oh well! I guess there is always tomorrow.

The best part about getting married, aside from the whole handsome husband thing is getting fun presents in the mail! So far we have gotten a cookie sheet, salt and pepper grinders and gift cards. Jeff wasn't sure how he felt about having a wedding reception until the presents started to arrive. Then he was totally ok with it :)

Bridals

So.... we went and did bridals today :) It was way fun and Tara was awesome! We went to Wheeler Historic Farm and I got to wear my cowboy boots :) The second best part was that Tara's husband, Sam, is a distant cousin on the Winsor side of the family! It is a small world after all :D If you want to see a sneak peek of our shoot go to winsorphotography.com/blog

xoxo love you all

Happy Easter!

Jeff and I spent Easter with his sister and brother-in-law. We had planned to go to Logandale to visit my family but after checking our finances we decided that if we wanted to go to Steven's (my cousin who is on his mission) homecoming we could go down for Easter. Easter will come again next year but being able to support Steven as he comes home is a once in a life time opportunity :)

We gave up the P90X for a while but I am going to try to do it again. I quit my old job last Thursday after being told yet again that I was only good for cleaning. My new job starts Tuesday after next giving me a week off! woot woot! So with any luck I can get into a work out routine before I go back to work and will be able to stick to it. Keep your fingers crossed for me!!!

Love ya all! xoxo

Day of Color at the Kishna Temple

Last night Andrew, Anton and Lenny came into town to visit. Lenny was supposed to go to the Virgin Island to visit his grandpa but his flight was delayed so we picked him up from the airport this morning and headed to the festival of color! If you don't know what it is google Holi and it will tell you all about it :)

Its was tons of fun! Lots of people were there and its was like everyone was friends. It didn't matter who was around, the goal was to get as much color as possible on as many people as possible. I would recommend everyone giving it a try! Just make sure to bring a bandanna to wear around your nose and mouth, the chalk tastes nasty. Even after my shower I still have pink in my hair :)
