Jenelle Kai

Jeff and I were so lucky to welcome Jenelle Kai into the world at 8:15pm on May 4th,2012. She was 6lbs 5oz with dark brown curly hair. Poor thing will always be a Star Wars day as the 4th of May in now national Star Wars day.

So if you haven't noticed her name is not spelled in the traditional way. That is because Jeff and I combined our names to make her's. It's not so different that she will be made fun of but different enough to be unique. Kai is a Finish name that Jeff really liked.

Over all the whole process wasn't too bad. I went into labor at 3 in the morning and didn't really believe I was in labor until 6am which is when I called my sister-in-law to drive me to the hospital. Jeff was working in Elko so we called him when I got to the hospital. When we got there I had to wait an hour to make sure I was actually in labor. Once it was agreed upon by everyone that I was in labor I was moved into an amazing delivery room!

 I waited until about 10:30 to get an epidural. Jeff showed up around 1pm just in time! I was at a 5mm when that happened but the epidural slowed down labor for me so at about 2pm they gave me some medication to speed things up. Then at 8pm the doctor told me it was time to push. 15min later Jenelle was born!

We had some fun moments together in the hospital but Jenelle got Jaundice so she had to spend some time alone. Jeff didn't want her to feel too lonely so he sent a monkey with her during her treatments. Now she is almost 2 months old and doing great! If only she would sleep through the night! 

First Loan as a Married Couple

Jeff and I have made our 1st large purchase as a married couple. We bought a 2010 Ford Fusion for $13,300! We are super excited for a few reasons but number one we traded in a 1996 Buick Century that was falling apart. Now we have a reliable car for the two of us and our little bundle of joy who is slowly but surely on her way. Isn't it sexy?! Now both our cars are red lol

Pregnancy Pet Peeves

Ok... now that I have experienced pregnancy there are a few things that I have discovered that are super annoying!

• at 8+ months pregnant people asking if you are pregnant or just hiding a basketball under your shirt (ok really?! yes I am hiding a ball under my shirt because I am socially retarded like that)
• the question "are you ready to pop?" What am I? A balloon???
• After choosing a name for our baby everyone started introducing me to new people by introducing them to my belly. (While there is a baby in there I am still here too!!!)
• My baby is not a dog, a toy or a new hobby. Please let my baby be a baby! 
• No I am not eating for two. I eat for me and the baby benefits (that's why I have to take those horse pills). Quit trying to feed me like I am a garbage disposal. 
• Random strangers... please do not touch me without my permission... or just don't touch me! I have no idea who you are and I don't know what strange disease you are carrying. (not to be rude but I am a little paranoid seeing as I am pregnant) 

I think those are the biggest things. I only have two weeks left and if one more person asks me if I am pregnant I am going to tell them I am growing a tumor. I will tell them its okay tho, I am getting it removed soon lol :) 

Dinner Tonight

Well... about 3 weeks till the baby comes and I quit my job. Now its time to try things I like doing, like making dinner :)

Maternity Pictures

Well... 8months have gone by and we are finally getting maternity pictures done! Yay!!! With any luck it wont rain today and they will be fantastic :) Tara Winsor is our photographer so I have no doubts they will be amazing! As soon as we get some pics we will share :D

Eventful Life

Well... it has been an interesting week. Jeff went to Elko to do some job hunting. Needless to say his job at discount tire didn't pan out the way we had expected it would. While he was there he went to an open house for the electrical program at GBC. He decided that he really likes the program and is going to do it. If we are lucky he will get the scholarship so he has a job while he is in school and we don't have to pay as much for his education.

Meanwhile I was a total wreck without him. I was all sorts of emotional and missed him terribly. Also I found out this week that my boss is going to a new job and I yet again am worried that once he leaves my position will be in grave danger (not to be dramatic or anything). I got my books for school and realized I already own one of them so I was able to send it back.

OH here is a good one for you, while Jeff is unemployed he has decided to try to get back into shape. He is going to try to do the Lemon Cleanse again then he plans to do HCG. He should lose around 75-80lbs to get back to his ideal weight so we will see how that goes.... I don't think the Lemon Cleanse will be a success with him but I do think he will be able to do the HCG. Mostly because its easier to see the results. I am hoping he makes it through the Lemon Cleanse because he has been pretty stinky lately and I think his body needs it.

So yep... that's whats going on with us. Fun right?!

Baby Jordan

Its been an interesting year. Who would have thought that in less than a year Jeff and I would have a little one on the way. Not us! That is for sure, we weren't thinking about having a baby for another year or two. Needless to say Heavenly Father had other plans for us.
